Wanna grab tech journalists’ attention?
This is gonna sound obvious, but…
Give them something to write about!
More than just the size of the funding round. That’s only going up these days (To quote an anonymous source: “anything less than $100m series A, not news”)
So how do you do it right?
What did Lemonade do for example? They didn’t just do “something, something tech insurance.”
They flipped the insurance game. Not just as their schtick or their angle. But for real.
That’s something journalists will cover. Because that’s a story.
Anything less and you’re playing a numbers game. And that’s a losing game.
But change the game?
Then you’re winning… and hitting the front page of TechCrunch. Not the back issues of random trade magazines.
