Ever wonder if you’re doing creative work?

Here’s the test:

Does the end-user of whatever it is you do either love it or hate it? Is the only possible response to your work “fuck yeah!” or “hell no!”, with zero in between?

If that’s the case, then the answer is yes. Which should help explain why anyone who does truly creative work will tell you how utterly terrifying (or totally exhilarating) it can be.

And personally it’s the reason why I wouldn’t want to do anything else.

Because the crazy process leading up to the do-or-die moment is worth everything.

Even when you get a “hell no!”

But especially when you get a “fuck yeah!”
